Liberty Schools awarded grant to bolster technology tablet

Liberty Local Schools will soon be able to purchase additional tablets for the district thanks to a grant from the GPD Employees Foundation, which works to enrich the K-12 public education experience and support at-risk children and those with medical and special needs. The district, which applied for the grant in December, was awarded nearly $7,000 to enhance its technology offerings across the district.  With the money, Liberty Local Schools plans to purchase 24 Chromebooks, five iPads and one Chromebook cart.

Liberty Local Schools utilizing school social worker, counselors and therapy dog to support students through pandemic pawss

Everyone’s life has been disrupted one way or another by the pandemic.  A lot of people, including kids are feeling more anxious these days. In recognizing the mental and emotional impacts of the pandemic, Liberty Local Schools has bolstered its support for students and families by utilizing its school counselors, partnering with Cadence Care Network and the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board to bring a social worker into the schools, and utilizing its therapy dog, Pawss.

Principal's Message

Dear Liberty Parents, Guardians and Students,

In spite of COVID-19, I hope you and your loved ones have been able to enjoy the beautiful summer that we have had.  As we navigate through this pandemic- I realize that patience, flexibility and understanding are vital characteristics as we begin this school year. The hallways here at the Blott/Guy building have been silent for too long; I am anxious and excited to welcome the staff and students back.  Whether it is in person or online, it is my hope to continue working together as a family and ensure that all students feel like they are part of our Liberty Leopard community!
